USD* is not a specific coin — the asterisk represents any stablecoin that an issuer wants to gamify the adoption of. Prices shown as USD* on YoMarkets are settled using USD-backed stablecoins such as USDC and USDT.
To use YoMarkets, you must first create a YoPay account at https://yopay.io/register Then, log in to YoMarkets using your YoPay credentials to link your wallet.
To participate, you need a YoPay account. Here's how:
- Create a YoPay Account at yopay.io/register: Register on the YoPay app and verify your ID
- Login to YoMarkets: Go to www.yomarkets.io and sign in with your YoPay login details. This links your wallet to your YoMarkets account.
- You will need to transfer funds into your YoMarkets Account to start buying or bidding. You can cash in or cash out USD* from your YoMarkets wallet at any time.
You can use your Store Balance to bid on a variety of products. Here's how bidding works:
- Place a Bid: Select a product and bid using funds from your YoMarkets wallet. For example, if you bid USD* 50 on an item, that amount will be frozen in your wallet.
- Ongoing bidding: You might get outbid, in which case your bid amount will become unfrozen. If you have sufficient funds, you can increase your bid.
When you bid, the funds are frozen in your YoMarkets wallet and cannot be used for other bids or withdrawals until the auction concludes. If you’re outbid or win, the funds are either returned or transferred to the Seller.
You’ll receive a notification via the YoMarkets platform when the auction ends, confirming if you’ve won. We will then reach out to you via email or WhatsApp to arrange for pickup of your product. If successful, you’ll also receive a unique pickup code for collecting your item.
Bids cannot be canceled once placed, as they are binding commitments. For sellers, once a bid has been made on your listing, you won’t be able to withdraw it. You can reduce the time for the expiry of the auction, but not increase it.
Yes, you can apply to become a Seller. Once approved, you can list goods for sale and get paid to your Store Balance once your listing sells.
You can list a variety of goods (e.g., electronics, clothing, household items) if they are legal, in good condition, and meet YoMarkets’ listing guidelines.
If your item doesn’t match the listing description or fails inspection (e.g., damaged or prohibited), our verification team will inform you and return the item. You can revise the listing or item condition and reschedule a drop-off.
After our verification team verifies your item, it typically goes live within one working day, depending on the existing schedule of products on the marketplace. You’ll be notified when your listing goes live.
Currently, all items must be submitted and collected in person at one of our verification centers. Shipping options are not available but may be considered in the future.
If you don’t pick up your item within 1 month of winning, the item may be relisted, and your payment will remain with the Seller. Contact support to arrange for an extension if necessary.
At this stage, there are no additional fees for dropping off or picking up items at a verification center, though standard transaction fees may apply when your item sells.
Anyone in one of our supported markets who has a YoPay account can use YoMarkets. Verified users with a valid ID may register at YoMarkets.
